How can we prove that the three given points are collinear ,using the SECTION FORMULA?

Expert Answer
You should assume that one of the three point divides the line in k :1 ratio either internally or externally. Now find the value of k by using section formula.
(Internally)
(Externally)
Here m : n should be replaced by k :1
If the two values of k are equal. Then the three points are collinear.
You can also prove three points to be collinear by finding the slope = (y2- y1)/ (x2- x1)
