How can we decide a number, a perfect square or not just by looking? is there any shortcut?

Expert Answer
All the prefect squares ends with either of the following: 1, 4, 5, 6, 9, 00
So, if the number ends with 2, 3, 7 or 8, then it is not a perfect square.
But it not sufficient that the number ending with 1, 4, 5, 6, 9 or 00 is a perfect square. For that you need to further check it.
