How are the compounds of hydrides and oxides formed by various elements?
Asked by | 31st Mar, 2008, 04:00: PM
Most of the elements react with O2 and H2 to form the compounds. 2Na + O = Na2O, Fe +O = FeO , Fe2O3 etc
Na+ H ---> NaH, 2 H2 + O2------> H2O.
