Expert Answer:

Plant tissues are classified based on the dividing capacity of the tissues into meristematic and permanent tissues. The meristematic tissue divides throughout life and depending on their position are classified as apical, lateral and intercalary.

The permanent tissues are further classified into simple and complex, based on whether the tissue is made up of only one type of cells or more than one type of cells.
