hi mam iam hema i want to know the difference between sexual and asexual reproduction

· It involves formation of reproductive cells i.e. gametes. |
· It does not involve the formation of gametes. |
· Fusion of male and female gametes takes place resulting into the formation of zygote which develops into a new organisms. |
· New organisms are formed either by the division of the parent body or differentiation of parent body. |
· The scope for variation in the species is very high. |
· There is hardly any scope for variation.

· Offsprings are not genetically identical. |
· Offspirngs are genetically identical. |
