Hi Jenisha,
Below are the things you need to do while solving the problems based on light:
i) Solve as much numericals as you can.
ii) Analyse in which part you tend to make more mistake whether in calculations or using a formula.
iii) If you know that your concepts are strong there must be less chances that you may be doing mistakes while application of formula while solving numericals. The problem may be in simplification.
iv) Be thorough with formula list and ray diagrams. Knowing ray diagrams will help you lot while solving problems.
v) Solve mix set of numerical problems. Ask someone to frame question paper for you which contains numericals based questions on varied concepts covered in light chapter like mirror formulae, lens formulae, ray diagrams etc.
vi) Solve the problems on your own and then get them checked immediately by yourself or by concerned teacher.
vii) Once you know where you tend to make more mistakes you can work on that part and try to improve it.
viii) Concentrate on sign conventions. Dont forget to substitute the value along with signs.
viii) Hope this will help. Practice makes you perfect. So keep practicing.
