Hello sir
Please clarify these two sums
1) Calculate the number of Cl2 molecules and Cl atoms in 0.25 mol of Cl2 gas.
2) Molar mass of O is 16 g mol-1. What is the mass of one atom and one molecule of Oxygen?

Expert Answer
1) 0.25 mole of Cl2 molecules
Mass of 1 mole of Cl2 (molar mass) = 35.55 ×2 = 71 g
So, mass of 0.25 mole of Cl2 molecules = molar mass x number of moles = 71 × 0.25 = 17.75 g
2) Molecular mass of O = 16 u
Molecular mass of O2 = Mass of 2O atoms = 16u + 16u = 32u
