Expert Answer
First aid has to be provided in case of deep cuts and injuries. The following first aid should be given to the person having a deep cut:
- Clean the cut thoroughly by washing with soapy water in and around the wound for 10 minutes.
- If any foreign matter still remains in the wound, then it can be carefully removed with a sterile cotton swab or gauze.
- The skin around the wound is dried using sterile gauze.
- Lastly, a bandage is applied after the bleeding has stopped.
