A question had been bothering me so I eventually decided to ask from the experts.
THE QUESTION IS:
Explain the apparent movement of the sun in the sky.

Expert Answer:

We know that the Earth rotates on its axis and also revolves around the Sun. Because of the rotation, the Sun appears to move in the sky from east to west on a daily basis.
However, due to the revolution of Earth, the Sun appears to move from South to North over a period of entire year. This is the apparent motion of the Sun.
This is because the Earth's axis is tilted y 23.5°. Due to this tilt, the angle of the Sun keeps changing everyday as the Earth revolves around it. This angle is called the declination (not meant for lower grades). So, the Sun appears southwards during summer and moves towards North over a period of 6 months and the cylce continues over and over.
