A worker is selected at random, find the probability that his wages are
(i) less than ₹120 (ii) at least ₹ 130. (iii) more than or equal to ₹120.

(i)
Total number of workers with wages less than rs. 120 is 12+8 = 20
So, the worker selected must amongst these 20 workers
Therefore, probability(less than rs. 120) = 20/50 = 2/5
 
(ii)
Total number of workers with wages less than rs. 130 is 12+8+15 = 35
So, the worker selected must amongst these 35 workers
Therefore, probability(less than rs. 130) = 35/50 = 7/10
 
(iii)
 
Therefore, probability(more than or equal to rs. 120) = 1 - P(less than rs. 120) = 1 - 2/5 = 3/5
