Give two tests to distinguish between primary, secondary, tertiary alcohols.

Lucas test :With lucas reagent tertiary alcohol givesturbity immediately,seacondary alcohol forms turbity within five minutes and primary alcohol shows no turbity.
Victor meyer test:In this test an unknown alcohol is converted into the corresponding nitroalkane which is then treated with nitrous acid followed by alkalifying the solution.
  primary alcohol gives blood red colour,secondary alcohol gives blue and tertiary alcohol remain colourless.
