Solution 1:

For x = 1,

x + 3y = 8

1 + 3y = 8

3y = 7

y =

(x, y) = (1, )

Solution 2:

For x = 2,

x + 3y = 8

2 + 3y = 8

3y = 6

y = 2

(x, y) = (2, 2)
