Expert Answer:

1) An old worn out cell has to be completely destroyed and removed. Lysosomes act on the old and worn out cell components and help clear the debris in a cell. They contain powerful enzymes which can digest all damaged and worn out parts of the cell or the cell as a whole. Hence old and worn out  cells will be rich in lysosomes. In addition, the aged post-mitotic cells would not be able to sustain efficient turnover of wornout or damaged organelles.

2) Chromosomes.
