Expert Answer:

(i) the state of rest- Consider a chair at rest, you can push it or pull it by your hands to change its state of rest.
(ii) the state of motion with change in speed only- Consider a small toy train operated by a battery, you can give a push or pull by your hands to change the speed of the toy train.
(iii) only the direction of motion not the speed- Cosider a ball attached to a string and hold the string and revolve the ball around circles in constant speed, in this case the pull is towards the centre, but the direction of motion is changing every instant as it is a circular motion
(iv) both speed and direction of motion of body-  Consider a small toy car operated by a battery, you can give a moving car instant push or pull by your hands to change the speed as well as direction of the toy car.
