Diversion of water from water abundant to water deficit regions may not be a viable option because
- It requires a high level of technological know-how and currently we do not have reliable technology to do so.
- Rivers also change their course frequently. So, diverting water may result in some unwanted and disastrous results. It is difficult to bind the forces of nature.
