Nucleolus is the site where ribosome biogenesis takes place. These ribosomes move out of the nucleus to positions on the rough endoplasmic reticulum where they are critical in protein synthesis
Nucleolus contains RNA for protein manufacture.
Another important function is the control of cell cycle.
Lysosomes help to clean up the cell by digesting any foreign materials as well as worn-out cell organelles.
During disturbance in cellular metabolism, when the cell gets damaged, lysosomes may burst and their enzymes digest the whole cell. Hence they are also known as suicide bags of a cell.
