Autonomic nervous system is divided into sypathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.
The functions of sympathetic nervous system include-
(i) Helps in blood flow to lungs and various parts of the body.
(ii) Dilates pupils and relaxes ciliary muscles.
The functions of parasympathetic nervous system include-
(i) Causes constriction of the pupil and contraction of the ciliary muscle to the lens.
(ii) The parasympathetic nerves dilate blood vessels leading to the gastrointestinal tract.
