The force on the brick along the plane downwards is mgsinθ & force of static friction acts up the plane.
The brick will just begin to slide when mgsinθ = max. static frictional force.
Hence max. static frictional force. = mgsinθ = 2 x 10 sin 45 = N.
We hope that answers your query.
