for the reaction , 2X->X2 the rate of the reaction becomes three times when the concentration of X is increased 27 times.what is the order of the reaction?

Expert Answer:

R'/R = (C'/C)n , R refers to rate of reation and C to concentration, while n is the order of reaction.
3 = (27)n
Hence we see that n must be 1/3 for the equality to hold.

Order of reaction is 1/3 = 0.33.
