for line x-2y>0 we know it passes through crigin but how to deteermine which part towards or away from origin to be shaded.Plz explain...

For the line x-2y>0
To know the shading part, put any point which is not lies on the line, say (4, 0) for this line.
On putting (4, 0) we get 4-0>0 =>   4 > 0 This is true.
So we shade the portion in which (4, 0) lies.
Suppose if we get a false we shade the portion in which the point does not lie.
