For a chemical reaction X Y, The rate increases by the factor 2.25 when concentration of X is increased by 1.5. Derive or suggest the rate law equation and find the order of reaction.

Expert Answer

(Rate)1 = k[X]m2
(Rate)2 = k [1.5X]m

Therefore, order of the reaction is 2.
And rate law equation = k [X]2
