          h = x tan  

        also, h =  (x+y) tan (B )

        equating two equations

gives y = x [ tan  - tan ( B ) ] 

divided by tan ( B )  

 hence length of ground                                                                                      

 y = x [ tan  cot ( B ) - 1]
