Expert Answer:

Let x be the side of the cube.

The volume of water displaced due to the 200 gm mass, 2x2

The buoyancy force = (1 gm/cm3)(2x2 cm3)(980 cm/s2)

The weight = (200 gm)(980 cm/s2)

The boyancy force = the weight

2x2= 200

x = 10 cm.
