Expert Answer:

let a be the first term and d be the common difference

n = a+(m-1)d

and m = a+(n-1)d

solve for a and d.

a = m+n-1    and    d = -1

so pth term wil be a+(p-1)d = m+n-1 -(p-1) = m+n-p
