Expert Answer
let the point where line intersect x axis is(x,0) and y-axis is (0,y)
since the point (-4,3) divide the portion of line between the axes in the ratios 5:3
i.e.(-4,3) divides the line segment between (x,0) and (0,y) in the ratios 5:3
this implies 3x/8 = -4 and 5y/8 = 3
i.e. x = -32/3 and y=24/5
now find the equation which passes through (-32/3,0) and (0,24/5)
