f(x) = x/(1+|x|)
We can split the function as:
f(x) = x/(1+x) for x >0
= x/(1-x) for x < 0
f'(x) when x > 0 = 1/(1+x)2 > 0
f'(x) when x < 0 = 1/(1-x)2 >0
i.e f'(x) >0 in both the cases.
So, f(x) x/(1+|x|) is an increasing function.
