find the value of x?

Expert Answer:
1/(x+1)- 1/(x+2)= 1/(x+3)
taking lcm, we get,
1/(x+1)(x+2) = 1/(x+3)
x+3 = x^2+3x+2
x^2+2x-1= 0
now D= 8
therefore, x= (-2+2√2)/2 and x= (-2-2√2)/2
x= -1+√2 and x= -1-√2
