Find the value of ′a′, if (x− a) is a factor of x^3 − ax^2 + x + 2.

Since x - a is a factor of p(x) = x3 − ax2 + x + 2.
→ x = a and p(a) = 0
→ p(a) = a3 − a3 + a + 2 = 0
→ a = -2
