Mass of empty dish (M) = 50 g
Mass of the solution = (M1) = 65 g – 50g
15 g
Mass of the dish + residue = (M2) = 54.3 g
∴ Mass of the residue = 54.3 – 50
= 4.3 g
∴ Solution = Solute + Solvent
15 = 4.3 + Solvent
∴ Solvent = 15 – 4.3 = 10.7 g
