Expert Answer
Dear student
Acceleration due to gravity of first planet of mass 'm' and radius r1 is :
g1 = G m / r12 ...............(i)
Acceleration due to gravity of first planet of mass 'm' and radius r2 is :
g2 = G m / r22................(ii)
dividing (i) by (ii)
g1/g2 = r22 / r12 = 4 : 1
We hope this clarifies your doubt.
