Find the discriment of the equation 3x2-2x+1/3=0 and hence find the nature of the roots
Asked by | 25 Jan, 2012, 08:19: AM
Expert Answer
3x2 -2x +1/3 = 0
or, 9x2 - 6x + 1 = 0
So, D = b2 - 4ac = 36 - 4(9)(1) = 36 - 36 = 0
Since D = 0, So the roots are real and equal.
