CBSE Class 11-science Answered
find the dimensions of constants a,b and c in the relation
Asked by coolameet08 | 24 Feb, 2010, 11:26: AM
Expert Answer
Since we add at, b/t and c, the three terms, and the equate it to velocity, there dimensions must be the same.
Velocity [M0L1T-1]
Hence dimension of at must be that of velocity, and therefore dimensions of a velocity/time
Therefore, a = [M0L1T-1]/[M0L0T1] = [M0L1T-2]
Similarly b = Velocityxtime
= [M0L1T0]
and c = velocity = [M0L1T-1]
