Q: Find the cost of digging  a well 2m in radius and 14 m deep at the rate of Rs. 4.80 per m3 .
 
Solution:
 
Volume of the well = ∏r2 h = begin mathsize 16px style 22 over 7 cross times 2 cross times 2 cross times 14 space equals space 176 space straight m cubed end style
The cost of digging a well  = 176 × 4.80 = Rs. 844. 8
