Dear Student
Area of a segment is given by A=
in the given case r=h= 4/2=2m
R=D/2= 4m
So the area of the region wich is overlapped by the 2 semicircles.
2A=2[ 16 Xcos-1(1/2) - 2(16-4) =32 pi/3 - 8
3 = 19.63 sq m
