Expert Answer:

Molality= no of moles/weight of solvent in kg

No of moles of solute= 8.653/58.5
                                  =147.91

weight of solvent= wt of solution –wt of solute

wt of solution = density x volume
                       = (1.0816/1000) x 100
                          =108.16x10-3g

wt of solvent = (108.16x10-3)- 8.653=-8.544g

molality= 147.91 X 1000/-8.544

              =17.31x103
