find a relation between x and y such that the point (x,y)is eqidistant from the point (-2,-8) and (-3,-5)

Let A=(-2, -8), B=(-3, -5) and C= (x, y).
Since AC = BC
→(x+ 2)2 + (y + 8)2 = (x+ 3)2 + (y + 5)2
→ x2 + 4x + 4 + y2 + 16y + 64 = x2 + 6x + 9 + y2 + 10y + 25
→ 2x - 6y - 34 = 0
→   x - 3y = 17
 
Hence, the relation between x and y is x = 3y + 17
