The above formula is used to mathematically express
the centripetal force.
We know that
w = v x r ..(1)
Where
'w' is angular velocity
'v' is linear velocity
and r is the radius of the circular path.
Thus
acceleration (a) = v2 x r ...(2)
Force (F) = mass (m) x acceleration (a) ...(3)
