Explain why while writing equilibrium expression for heterogeneous equilibrium concentrations of pure solids and liquids are taken as constant or conventionally 1 ?

When there are pure solids or pure liquids involve, the concentrations are treated as one for these substances, so they do not affect the equilibrium constant.
