Explain why we are able to sip hot tea from a saucer rather than a cup.

Increase in surface area increases the rate of evaporation. A saucer has a large surface area as compared to a cup; hence rate of evaporation is more in case of saucer. So, it is easier to sip hot tea or milk from a saucer.
