Exosmosis -

When a cell is placed in a solution of higher concentration, the water from the cell moves outwards through the cell membrane into the solution. This is exosmosis.

Endosmosis -

When a cell is placed in a solution of lower concentration, water from the solution moves inwards into the cell through the cell membrane. This is endosmosis.
