In a majority of the families, women do most of the household work such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, tailoring, and childcare. On the other hand, men do all the work that is done outside the home. This is not to say that men cannot do housework, they do it in exchange for money. The large scale employment of men in the hospitality industry stands testimony to this fact. However, when women do the household work, it is not valued and does not get any recognition.
