Explain how a chemical reaction can also be called as redox reaction .Explain with the help of a example(2 marks) Ans:-A combination reaction is also a redox reaction as one of the substance is getting oxidised and the other is getting reduced.The substance which gains electrons is said to be oxidised and the other which is gaining electrons is said to be reduced. Eg: Mg + O2->MgO in this reaction Magnesium is gaining electrons and so it is getting oxidised and oxygen is accepting electrons so is getting reduced . Is the above answer correct and sufficient ?
