d-Block elements exihibit more oxidation state than f-Block elements because in d block elements ,electrons of s and d orbital both take part in the bond formation, while in f block elements due to poor sheilding effect of f - electrons effective nuclear charge increases, therefore, lesser number of oxidation states are shown.
