The factors responsible for the behavior of the first member of group in the s and p block as compared t the other members of the same group are:

(i) Small atomic size of the first element.

(ii) Large charge / radius ratio.

(iii) High electro negativity.

(iv) Absence of d-orbitals in the valence shell of the first element.

(v) Ability to form pSyntax error from line 1 column 49 to line 1 column 73. Unexpected '<mstyle '.-pSyntax error from line 1 column 49 to line 1 column 73. Unexpected '<mstyle '. multiplpe bonds.
