Q.6:A certain freezing process requires that room temperature be lowered from 40ºC at the rate of 5ºC every hour.What will be the room temperature 10 hours after the process begin?

Expert Answer
Initially,room temperature is 40° C
It is given that the room temperature lowers at the rate of 5° C every hour.
After one hour the temperature becomes (40 – 5) = 35° C
After two hours the temperature becomes (35 – 5) = 30° C
Thus, we can say that,
After the duration of 10 hours the temperature becomes= 40 -(10 hrs. x 5)= 40-50 = -10° C
