CBSE Class 10 Answered

Element A has 4 valence electrons while C has 6. In the answer it is written that both of them have 4 valence electrons. As per my understanding the correct option is C. Please guide me correctly.

Element A has atomic number 6. So the electronic configuration is 2,4.
Element C has atomic number 32. So the electronic configuration is 32.
 
Both the elements A and C have 4 electrons in their outermost shell.
 
So they both belong to the same group 14.
 
So the correct option is B.
