Expert Answer
Electric bulbs are filled with inert gases like argon.
The bulb can’t be filled with air as the filament in the bulb (tungsten) will react with oxygen and the filament will burn.
If it’s a vacuum condition then the filament will evaporate because of very high temperature.
Therefore the bulbs are filled with the inert gases as it prevents evaporation of filament and maintains the pressure inside the bulb.
Also the inert gases will not react with the filament.
