Copper reacts with concentrated sulphuric acid and not with dilute sulphuric acid.

Concentrated sulphuric acid can act as strong oxidisng agent and oxidises Cu to Cu2+  .

Dilute sulphuric acid is not strong enough to oxidise Cu to Cu2+
