let O be the center of the circle

since the angle sub by the chord AB is 60, so the other two angles, OAB and OBA, being equal also have to be 60 each, 

Thus OAB is an equi triangle.

the area of the minor seg can be found by using the formula

area=[theta/360][pie][r][r]

the area of the major seg can be found by

 area of the circle-[area of minor segment]

use theta =60

 r=15
