Please identify, the triangle joining the two end points of the chord and radii, is a right angled triangle, since it subtends an angle 90 at the centre.

Area of triangle = (1/2)xheightxbase = (1/2)(10)(10) cm2

Also the area of the minor sector will be 1/4 of the total area of circle,

and the area of major sector will be 3/4 of the total area of the circle.
